Abstract
- The article discusses a study by Kimiko Yamamoto-Tamura and colleagues which isolated a putative porin gene of the Burkholderia sp. NK8 named ompNK8 which suggests permeability for its metabolite. Topics discussed include the bacterial strains, plasmids, and culture conditions in the study, the construction of pOmpNK8 encoding plasmid, and identification of the gene in chemotaxis toward B-ketoadipate.
