Abstract

The article discusses the issues in oil production, including anhydrous production time, the law of bottom-water breakthrough, and the natural separation of the oil-water contact (OWC). It also combines the pressure-drop superposition principle, Darcy's law, and seepage models of plane and spherical-radial flow to correctly predetermine breakthrough time in a bottom-water reservoir with a barrier. Also cited is the results of a model testing in the Ordos basin in China.
