Abstract

The article discusses the implications of concepts and reserve design theory for the design of coastal marine reserves. It explains how humans have influenced the environmental, ecological, and evolutionary processes. It identifies many of the environmental and ecological processes and design criteria necessary for consideration in the development of the analytical approaches.
