Abstract

The article focuses on the teaching methods used in the schools Nova Scotia and the need to adopt a culturally responsive pedagogy. Topics discussed include the achievement gap among the students in the province, the need to provide teachers with the professional education required to use culturally responsive pedagogy, and the need to increase the wages of teachers. Also mentioned are the teacher strikes in the province.
