Abstract
- The article discusses role of functional surfaces in food processing. It mentions that feed spacer material of spiral-wound membranes used in dairy applications could be functionalized to mitigate bacterial growth. It reveals that feed spacer provides a gap for fluid flow and induces turbulence at the membrane surface to reduce fouling.
