Abstract
- BOOK MAKING "YOU CAN'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER" is an apt summary of Library, the latest art book by contemporary Winnipeg artists Michael Dumontier and Neil Farber. "I paint piles of books and hand them over to Neil, who titles them", says Dumontier, who uses medium-density fibreboard cut into two-by-two-, three-by-three-, or six-by-six-inch squares and paints them with a wide range of acrylic colours (and occasionally with spray paint). "This is a book that you can pick up for a few minutes or for longer", says Farber, who feels that Library allows readers to start the book on any page. [Extracted from the article]
