Smart Manufacturing in the Wooden Single-Family House Industry – Status of Industry 4.0.

Despite that a decade has passed since the Industry 4.0-era began, there is still limited knowledge about the implications for the wooden single-family house industry. The purpose of this paper is to identify components of smart manufacturing that captures what companies in the wooden single-family house industry need to consider meeting the expected and future demands related to the fourth industrial revolution. The results presented is based on two case studies, revealing seven components.
