Personal reflections.

The article reports on views of the author on nursing and the National Association of Theatre Nurses (NATN). The author opined that it is crucial to develop practice within the reality of the day and so it is important to make oneself familiar with the issues that are developing alongside the focus for the speciality. Thus it is as important to pay attention to developments in medical practice, for example, and with the incredible networks offered through NATN, it becomes difficult to ignore the constantly changing context within which all work.
