While worries about the accumulated burden of sovereigndebt and the possibility of a debt crisis have beenpresent for years, the pandemic has exacerbated analready precarious situation for many low-incomecountries, revealing fundamental flaws in the currentarchitecture for sovereign debt restructuring.
