Consideration of problems from the characteristics of Japanese companies in the introduction of IT in the Japanese manufacturing industry.

The importance of business IT systems in corporate activities has increased, and the effects of their introduction have greatly contributed to corporate performance. However, it has been pointed out that Japanese companies are not sufficiently effective for the purpose of introduction. In this paper, we focused on the manufacturing industry, which accounts for the majority of Japanese companies, and considered and analyzed the utilization status of business IT systems. From there, we focused on the issues of organizational structure that are often seen in the manufacturing industry, low productivity, and added consideration to the relationship with business IT systems non-utilization.
