Abstract
- The design of a product is shaped by different requirements. Some product requirements result from the available resources of the factory. Consequently, the planning of production resources must also be taken into account at an early stage during the product development phase to ensure suitable synchronization. This results in the demand for industrial planning to be carried out during product development and to ensure suitable synchronization. This paper therefore examines the interfaces between product development and factory planning. Furthermore, an overview of existing challenges in the cooperation between these two areas is given. Finally, fields of action for further research are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
