Abstract
- The article presents information about STIHL Inc. The article author recently had an interesting discussion with one of the STIHL dealers. He was part of a group of customers visiting the manufacturing facilities in Virginia Beach. This dealer has chosen to capitalize on a strategic strength as a selling point of differentiation - that of service. This customer is just one among many such examples of STIHL dealers who have chosen to elevate the traditional service repair to service beyond compare. His service is based on a foundation of customer relationships as opposed to impersonal third-party service currently being attempted by a variety of outlets at the behest of the big box stores.
