Abstract
- The article presents information on a study which analyzed incidence of sudden death and arrhythmia pattern in patients with resuscitation after myocardial infarction. Eighty patients with a mean age of 53 years were included consecutively in this retrospective study. Long-term ambulatory monitoring is widely accepted method in the diagnostic evaluation of ventricular arrhythmias. In the present study, significant differences in the incidence of isolated premature ventricular contractions and complex arrhythmias were observed between patients with late cardiac arrest and those without.
