Abstract
- A study conducted by researchers at Mississippi State University explored the compatibility of the Marek's disease vaccine (MDV) with two vitamins, L-Ascorbic acid (L-AA) and 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25OHD). The study found that the MDV can be effectively combined with the two designated doses of 25OHD for subsequent administration by in ovo injection. However, the L-AA resulted in a 70% death rate of primary chick embryo fibroblast cells infected by the MD virus within 1 hour. This research provides valuable insights into the potential compatibility of vitamins with the MDV vaccine. [Extracted from the article]
