Abstract

A new report discusses research on endometrial hyperplasia, a condition that can lead to endometrial cancer in women. The study aimed to assess the predictive value of patient characteristics in determining the risk of endometrial cancer in women with atypical endometrial hyperplasia (AEH). The research found that patient characteristics, such as age, body mass index, Lynch syndrome, diabetes, and previous breast cancer, did not show satisfactory performance in predicting endometrial cancer in AEH. The study suggests that risk stratification based solely on patient characteristics may not be clinically suitable. [Extracted from the article]
