Abstract

Researchers at the University of Rovira and Virgili in Tarragona, Spain have reported new data on environmental monitoring. They have explored the integration of nano/micromotors (NMs) with surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectroscopy, which enhances the detection and analysis of trace amounts of substances. This integration has potential applications in biomedicine, environmental science, chemical and cell biology, and medical diagnostics. The research discusses the types of NMs, their fabrication, and the incorporation of plasmonic nanostructures, as well as their future prospects in precision medicine, environmental monitoring, and other areas.
