Studies in the Area of Aeromonas Reported from Huzhou University (Isolation, Identification, and Virulence Gene Analysis of Pathogenic aeromonas Dhakensis In macrobrachium Rosenbergii and Histopathological Observation).

A research study conducted at Huzhou University in China has identified a strain of Aeromonas dhakensis as the cause of mass mortality in adult Macrobrachium rosenbergii, a type of freshwater prawn. The strain, named DKQ-1, was found to be highly pathogenic and capable of causing serious tissue damage in the prawns. The study also revealed that DKQ-1 was sensitive to 16 antibiotics, resistant to 9 antibiotics, and had intermediate resistance to spectinomycin and kanamycin.
