Studies from University of Tabriz Further Understanding of Drug Delivery Systems (Lauryl Alcohol Functionalized Citric Acid-based Dendrimers As the Drug Carrier for In Vitro Evaluation).

A study conducted at the University of Tabriz in Iran focused on the development of a new citric acid-based dendritic structure for the delivery of antidepressant drugs. Three different generations of citric acid dendrimers were synthesized and functionalized with lauryl alcohol. The synthesized dendrimers were able to encapsulate fluoxetine, an antidepressant drug, with the highest loading percentage observed for CAD G3-LAU.
