Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Aleppo in Syria focused on the synthesis of bis-sulfonamide compounds that inhibit the aromatase enzyme, which plays a crucial role in the biosynthesis of estrogen. The researchers used molecular modeling to identify the most promising compound, which exhibited a high binding energy compared to other compounds and known inhibitors. The synthesized compounds were characterized using various analytical methods. This research provides valuable insights into the development of potential anticancer drugs targeting the aromatase enzyme. [Extracted from the article]
