Abstract

A recent study conducted by the Medical University of Warsaw highlights the challenges in achieving universal control of blood pressure, lipid disorders, and diabetes, despite advancements in pharmacotherapy. The study emphasizes the need for intensified treatment and active identification of patients with cardiovascular risk factors, along with the implementation of new therapies and treatment concepts. The researchers propose the use of single pill combinations containing effective antihypertensive, lipid-lowering, and antidiabetic molecules, as well as the adoption of new technological concepts and strategies to combat smoking. The study concludes that this approach can lead to better control of cardiovascular risk factors in countries such as Italy, Poland, Spain, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. [Extracted from the article]
