Abstract

Researchers from Mugla Sitki Kocman University Faculty of Medicine in Turkey conducted a study to examine medication adherence and prospective memory functions in individuals diagnosed with focal and generalized epilepsy. The study included 51 patients with focal epilepsy and 51 with generalized epilepsy. The researchers found no difference in prospective memory functions and medication adherence between the two groups. However, they did find near-significant correlations between medication adherence and memory function. The researchers concluded that more comprehensive studies are needed to further understand the relationship between memory and medication adherence in epilepsy. [Extracted from the article]
