Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences investigated the effects of metformin on anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) levels in women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). The study analyzed data from 16 controlled trials involving 484 participants. The findings showed that metformin significantly reduced AMH levels in both single-arm and randomized clinical trials. The study concluded that metformin treatment has a beneficial effect on reducing AMH levels in women with PCOS. Further details of the study can be found in the BMC Endocrine Disorders journal.
