Abstract

A new report from the Reproductive Health Promotion Research Center discusses the impact of mindfulness counseling on the sexual self-efficacy of women with HIV. The study involved 62 HIV-positive women who received eight weeks of counseling based on mindfulness, while a control group received no intervention. The results showed that the counseling significantly improved all dimensions of sexual self-efficacy in the intervention group, including readiness for sexual relationship, sexual self-stimulation, intimacy without sexual intercourse, and orgasm. The researchers recommend this method of counseling for HIV-positive women. [Extracted from the article]
