Abstract

The article explores the challenges faced by researchers studying sexual assault in Iran. It highlights the scarcity of research on the topic compared to Western countries and identifies obstacles such as privacy concerns, limited participation from female victims, and ideological and religious barriers. The article also discusses the cultural factors that deter women from participating in research, including fear of dishonor, rejection, and harm. It emphasizes the need for a safe environment for victims to come forward and receive support, as well as the importance of educating children and healthcare professionals about sexual assault.
