Abstract
- A systematic review and meta-analysis conducted by researchers at the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Chinese Medicine examined the effects of human milk odor stimulation on feeding in premature infants. The study analyzed six randomized controlled trials with a total of 763 patients. The findings showed that human milk odor stimulation reduced the transition time to oral feeding and shortened the duration of parenteral nutrition in premature infants. However, it did not have an impact on the length of hospitalization. The researchers concluded that further studies are needed to determine the potential benefits of human milk odor stimulation on premature infants. [Extracted from the article]
