Abstract
- The article provides information about hiking the Appalachian Trail (AT) in Maine. The AT is a famous footpath that spans 2,190 miles across 14 states, starting in Georgia and ending in Maine. While the trail is designed for long-distance treks, it is also suitable for day hikes or weekend backpacking trips. Maine is home to about 282 miles of the trail, which offers various hiking options, including challenging mountain hikes, visits to waterfalls, and walks through mossy forests. The Maine Appalachian Trail Club maintains most of the trail in the state and provides detailed maps for hikers. It is important to come prepared with appropriate gear and clothing, as some sections of the trail in Maine are challenging and remote. [Extracted from the article]
