Abstract

The article discusses the need for a restructuring of the Marine Air Command and Control System (MACCS) to meet the demands of future combat operations against peer adversaries. It emphasizes the importance of the Multifunction Air Operations Center (MAOC) in executing multidomain kill chains and generating an integrated tactical picture. The article also mentions the concept of "Mosaic Warfare" as a means to overwhelm adversaries with a high volume of weapons and sensors. It highlights the need for the MACCS to adapt and transform to provide critical command and control capabilities to the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) and Joint Force. The article concludes by stating that the institutionalization of the MAOC is an ongoing effort to improve the efficiency and capability of the MACCS. [Extracted from the article]
