Abstract

A recent study conducted in Guangzhou, China compared the surgical outcomes of younger adult idiopathic scoliosis patients (YAdIS) with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS). The study found that selective thoracic fusion based on the Lenke rule, which is commonly used for AIS, can also be effective for treating YAdIS. The study evaluated radiographic parameters, clinical outcomes, and complications in both groups of patients. The findings suggest that YAdIS can be successfully treated with selective thoracic fusion. [Extracted from the article]
