Professor Yasuyuki Hashidoko, a member of the Research Group of Applied Bioscience at Hokkaido University, passed away suddenly in November 2019 at the age of 57. He had a distinguished career, earning his Ph.D. in 1990 and becoming a full professor in 2007. His major works focused on Environmental Agriculture, including Natural Product Chemistry, Soil Science, and Microbiology. He received several awards for his research and published over 150 papers.
