Abstract

A study conducted at Xinjiang University explores the development of a photothermally responsive composite bone scaffold for bone tissue regeneration and treatment of bone defects. The scaffold, made with photothermal-sensitive nanoparticles, demonstrated desirable mechanical and photothermal properties. When exposed to near-infrared light, the scaffold achieved a temperature range conducive to promoting osteogenic differentiation. This research presents a promising avenue for advancing bone tissue cell proliferation and addressing bone defect rehabilitation. [Extracted from the article]
