Abstract
- A study conducted by researchers at Jinzhou Medical University in China focuses on the development of bone scaffolds for bone tissue engineering. The researchers combined polycaprolactone (PCL) and chitosan to create versatile bone scaffolds with improved mechanical properties and biological activity. They also incorporated MXene nanosheets into the scaffolds to enhance their osteogenic impact and modify their mechanical behavior. The study found that the scaffolds with an optimized ratio of MXene nanoparticles showed suitable characteristics for the generation of new bone tissues, including cell attachment, proliferation, and differentiation.
