Abstract
- A new report discusses research on exotropia, a condition characterized by outward deviation of the eyes. The study aimed to compare the changes in exotropia deviation in children with intermittent exotropia before and after a monocular occlusion test. The study included 258 children aged 5 to 12 years who underwent strabismus correction. The results showed that the monocular occlusion test had a significant impact on the exotropia deviation at near fixation. The researchers concluded that this test can help determine the maximum exotropia deviation and improve surgical outcomes. For more information, readers can refer to the original research article.
