Abstract

This research report explores the correlation between the Defense and Veterans Pain Rating Scale (DVPRS) and other pain-related measures in a civilian population experiencing acute pain. The study found that the DVPRS scores were associated with the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), PROMIS Pain Interference, and Sleep Disturbance scores, but not physical activity. The DVPRS was deemed a valuable tool for assessing pain intensity, pain interference, and sleep-related impairment. The study suggests the need for further research to investigate potential variations in pain-related measures among different racial and ethnic groups. [Extracted from the article]
