Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Orebro in Sweden focused on the Gram-Negative Bacteria Pseudomonas oleovorans and its resistance to biocides. The study examined the impact of biocide exposure on the metabolome of two strains of P. oleovorans. The researchers found that exposure to a specific biocide induced significant metabolic modifications in P. oleovorans, particularly in lipid and metabolite profiles, amino acid metabolism, and stress response pathways. The study suggests that understanding how different substances interact with bacteria is crucial for developing more effective antimicrobial chemicals and combating biocide resistance.
