Abstract

A research study conducted in Anhui, China, explored the efficacy of a novel and simple manual bone cone drilling hematoma drainage for hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage. The study included 103 patients and compared the traditional bone cone drilling hematoma drainage with the novel-type bone cone drilling hematoma drainage. The results showed that the novel-type group had a higher hematoma clearance rate and accuracy of catheter placement, as well as lower postoperative hematoma volume and neurological functional prognosis. The researchers concluded that the novel technique is a safe and effective treatment for hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage. [Extracted from the article]
