Abstract

Chiwetel Ejiofor, Oscar nominee for "12 Years A Slave," has written and directed a new film called "Rob Peace," based on the bestselling book by Jeff Hobbs. The film, which also stars Mary J. Blige, Jay Will, Camilla Cabello, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Michael Kelly, and Mare Winningham, tells the story of a son's quest to free his imprisoned father. The trailer for the film has been released and can be viewed online, with the film set to be shown exclusively on August 16. In addition, the Belcourt Theatre in Nashville will be screening the rare and valuable film "The Blues Under The Skin" on Thursday afternoon, and musician Charley Crockett will be performing at the Ryman on July 26 and 27.
