Abstract

The article discusses the design and features of the Aquatics Centre for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The architects aimed to create a building that would be both dynamic and welcoming to the community. The venue is designed to be sustainable, with a low-carbon footprint and the ability to be repurposed as a multi-sports facility after the games. The pool itself is flexible, with movable walls and a sculpted bottom to accommodate different events and reduce water usage. The roof is made of timber and serves as a solar farm, providing energy for the facility. Overall, the Aquatics Centre is an innovative and environmentally friendly addition to the Olympic Games.
