Abstract
- A recent report from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) discusses the rare occurrence of low-grade extrauterine endometrial stromal sarcoma arising from vaginal endometriosis. The case study involves a 38-year-old female who presented with symptoms such as dyspareunia, dysmenorrhea, and painful defecation, along with blood-stained vaginal discharge. After initial diagnosis and treatment, the patient experienced a recurrence of the condition, which was identified as a low-grade endometrial stromal sarcoma. The patient underwent surgery and is currently disease-free after a follow-up of 65 months. This research provides valuable insights into the diagnosis and management of this rare condition.
