Abstract

A study conducted by researchers at Capital Medical University in Beijing, China, aimed to establish a cutoff level of anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) that could aid in the diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in Chinese women. The study involved 550 women, including 450 with PCOS and 100 without PCOS. The researchers found that the combination of AMH and free testosterone had a high accuracy in predicting PCOS, with a sensitivity of 86.1% and specificity of 90.3%. The study concluded that the Elecsys AMH Plus immunoassay, with a cutoff of 4.64 ng/mL, is a reliable method for identifying PCOS. [Extracted from the article]
