Abstract

Researchers from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology have developed a new drug delivery system for cancer treatment. The system involves the use of redox-responsive polymeric micelles decorated with cancer biomarkers, which enhance therapeutic efficacy and reduce side effects. The researchers synthesized a digoxin-modified multifunctional copolymer for the targeted and controlled release of doxorubicin in cancer cells. The micelles demonstrated desirable stability and drug loading capacity, and showed enhanced intracellular accumulation and apoptotic effects in cancer cell lines. These findings highlight the potential of this drug delivery system for cancer treatment. [Extracted from the article]
