Abstract
- Researchers at Wenzhou People's Hospital in China have made progress in understanding the bacterium Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) and its resistance to drugs. The study focused on the use of derivatives of 6-gingerol, a compound found in ginger, to inhibit H. pylori-induced inflammation in the gastric mucosa. The derivatives showed significant anti-H. pylori effects and improved the secretion of gastrin and somatostatin, which are important hormones in the stomach. These findings suggest that 6-gingerol derivatives could be potential treatments for H. pylori infection. [Extracted from the article]
