Abstract

This article presents the findings of a survey on the challenges faced by dental practices in 2023. The survey reveals that rising overhead costs, difficulty in hiring clinical staff, declining insurance reimbursements, and patient concerns about finances and the economy are the top challenges. The survey also highlights a staffing crisis in the dental industry, with a shortage of dental staff available for hire. The article suggests increasing staff compensation, offering more employee benefits, and utilizing third-party financing options as potential solutions. Despite these challenges, the survey indicates that practices are stabilizing, and the author is optimistic about future results. [Extracted from the article]
