Abstract
- Researchers at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences have conducted a study on the use of an oral vaccine to prevent the spread of Aeromonas veronii in aquaculture. The study used a mutant form of the virulence factor aerolysin as a target antigen. The results showed that the vaccine effectively activated the immune response in zebrafish, increasing the expression of immune-related genes and antibodies. Additionally, the vaccine altered the structure of the gut microbiota. The study concludes that the vaccine could be an effective method for preventing A. veronii infection in fish aquaculture.
