Abstract
- A recent study conducted in Kerala, India, explored the correlation between anthropometric measurements, body compositions, and thyroid hormone levels in patients with hypothyroidism. The study found that age and body mass index (BMI) were significantly associated with thyroid profile, while gender was not. The total fat percentage demonstrated a positive correlation with all thyroid hormones, suggesting that it may be a more accurate predictor of thyroid hormone levels than other anthropometric variables alone. This research provides valuable insights into the relationship between hypothyroidism and body composition. [Extracted from the article]
