Abstract

This article discusses a study on the human insulin receptor and its role in insulin resistance. The researchers used a technique called deep mutational scanning to analyze thousands of variants of the insulin receptor and determine their function. They found that even low-level activation of compromised receptors could offer clinical benefits, and their findings could aid in the identification of variants that can be targeted by non-canonical insulin receptor agonists. This research has potential implications for precision therapy for insulin resistance. Please note that this article is a preprint and has not yet undergone peer review. [Extracted from the article]
