Abstract

A recent study conducted in India surveyed 500 oral surgeons to assess their awareness and adoption of emerging technologies such as 3D printing, computer-assisted surgery, and virtual reality (VR). The survey found that a significant proportion of oral surgeons were aware of these technologies, with adoption rates also notable but lower. Cost and lack of training were identified as major barriers, while improved patient outcomes and enhanced precision were seen as key facilitators. The study suggests that addressing these barriers could lead to increased adoption and potentially enhance patient care. [Extracted from the article]
