The researchers developed an injectable nanocomposite hydrogel platform that combines cisplatin, a chemotherapy drug, with calcined MgMnFe-layered double hydroxide (LDH250) nanosheets. These nanosheets generate reactive oxygen species (ROS) and consume glutathione (GSH), which enhances the effectiveness of cisplatin in killing tumor cells.
