Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, highlights the health risks associated with the use of skin-whitening products containing mercury. The study focuses on a case of a 27-year-old woman who developed severe nodulocystic acne as a result of using a mercury-containing skin-whitening cream. Treatment with isotretinoin and prednisolone led to significant improvement within three months. The researchers emphasize the need for public awareness and stricter regulations to prevent the health hazards associated with mercury in skin-whitening products. [Extracted from the article]
