Abstract

A study conducted by researchers at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology has developed a new method for diagnosing Alzheimer's disease (AD) using fluorescent nanodiamond-based spin-enhanced lateral flow immunoassay. This method utilizes the unique properties of fluorescent nanodiamonds to detect biomarkers of AD, such as the pTau protein. The spin-enhanced lateral flow immunoassay is rapid, easy to use, and affordable, providing a potential avenue for early diagnosis and treatment strategies for AD. This research represents a significant innovation in the field of AD diagnostics. [Extracted from the article]
