- Looks at the life and work of poet, Marianne Moore at Carlisle Indian School in Pennsylvania. Role of Moore's tenure at the school and her residency in Carlisle on shaping her aesthetic and transforming her into a mature poet; Relationship to indigenous American culture and history; Reflections of her experiences in the poems "Like a Bulrush," "To an Intra-Mural Rat" and "You are Like the Realistic Product of an Idealistic Search for Gold at the Foot of the Rainbow".
